Osijek Mathematical Gazette Osijek Mathematical Gazette is the official peer-reviewed journal of the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics and the Association of Mathematicians Osijek. It is aimed at high school and elementary school students, mathematics students, and teachers. The journal publishes professional and popular articles in mathematics and computer science, as well as topics from other areas if they are related to the primary profile of the journal. Articles can be submitted in Croatian or English language. The journal has been published since 2001. In addition to regular articles, it includes supplements: Notes from the history of mathematics, Stories with problem-solving challenges, information from the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, information from the Association of Mathematicians Osijek, information from the Mathematical Club, etc. Since 2001, it has been regularly published twice a year under the name Osijek Mathematical School (Osječka matematička škola) (from 2001 to 2004) and since 2005 under the name Osijek Mathematical Gazette (Osječki matematički list). Published regularly – 2 times a year. A copy is free of charge to active members of the Association of Mathematicians Osijek. The journal does not charge for printing works per page. Review process Each manuscript undergoes peer review according to the following procedures: Initial manuscript assessment. The editors first assess all manuscripts. In many cases, at this stage, editors return the manuscript to the authors if it does not meet the interests of the journal and the expected level of quality. Manuscripts that meet the minimum criteria are typically forwarded to at least two reviewers. Types of professional review. Osijek Mathematical Gazette conducts single-blind peer review, where the reviewer is unknown to the author, but the author’s identity is known to the reviewer. Final report. The reviewers advise the editors. The editorial decision to accept or reject the manuscript will be promptly communicated to the author, along with appropriately detailed explanations. The editorial decision is final. The editors are responsible for the final decision to accept or reject the manuscript; in that case, the process concludes. Biannual journal publication The journal is issued in one volume with 2 issues per year. Open access Osijek Mathematical Gazette is an open-access journal, meaning that all content is freely available to the user or their institution without charge. Users are allowed to read, download, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without prior permission from the publisher or author. This complies with the BOAI definition of open access. The journal provides open access to the full texts of all papers through the Hrčak database. There is no subscription fee, pay-per-view fee, or charge for reprinting. Sources of revenue The journal is financially supported by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia and the publisher, the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics. Author guidelines Osijek Mathematical Gazette publishes professional papers in mathematics and computer science, as well as topics from other fields if they are in some way related to the primary profile of the journal. Submitting a paper: We invite authors to submit their papers electronically in PDF format to the journal’s email address: oml@mathos.hr. The first page should contain the article title and author names. Images and tables should be sent separately. If the author does not submit the paper electronically, then three single-sided copies of the paper with double spacing should be sent to the address: Osijek Mathematical Gazette, School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Trg Ljudevita Gaja 6 HR-31000 Osijek, Croatia. We kindly ask authors to write their papers using the LaTeX environment using the OML style. The style, along with an example and .tex file, can be downloaded from here. Authors are required to have an ORCID identifier for entering it into HRČAK after the paper is published. To obtain an ORCID identifier, if the author doesn’t have one, it’s sufficient to provide an email address to the editorial office when submitting the paper. HRČAK will automatically contact the authors to provide their authenticated ORCID identifier. Literature The literature should be listed in alphabetical order.
